A Bit of Background
We started raising Bengals in 2020 and Maine Coons in 2021. Originally, we just wanted wonderful pets for ourselves. However, we became hooked and soon we added a second and then a third one to our family.
After acquiring information about the breeding process, we decided to do our part in preserving the Bengal and Maine Coon breeds which led to the birth of our business in Silver Spring, Maryland. Since then, we’ve known so much love, joy and excitement!
At Whimsicats Cattery, we raise exceptional animals in a loving and caring environment. Dedicated to following a responsible breeding program, our focus is on keeping our animals healthy and happy until they are ready to go to their new homes.

A Bengal and Maine Coon Quality Cat Breeder
WHIMSICATS CATTERY is a small cattery located in Silver Spring Maryland, just 2 miles north of the District of Columbia near I-270, I-95 and I-495.
We have been breeding Maine Coons and Bengals since 2021 with a focus on making the transition from our loving home to yours as easy as possible. We strive to breed the best cats we can, educate their new owners, and ensure these precious creatures get the love, care and attention they deserve.
Our kittens are raised as part of our family and never in a pet mill environment. They are well socialized, great with kids, as well as other animals, and will be a great addition to your family. Parents are on premises.
Maine Coon and Bengal kittens go to their new homes with a three day health warranty, wormings, and up to date vaccines. Additionally, each kitten comes with a genetic guarantee for all fatal genetic diseases for one year. We send our babies off to their new homes when they are 12 weeks old and well on their way to long, healthy, happy, and safe lives.
Most of our Maine Coons are from European lines imported from Russia, and double registered with WCF and CFA or TICA. Our queens and kings have calm temperaments, are very large, and beautiful with thick coats and are HCM, SMA, and PKD negative. Our Bengals are registered with TICA and DNA tested for genetic defects. All of our cats are fully vaccinated and dewormed and kept strictly indoors. They have champion bloodlines and are pedigreed.
Breeding rights for Maine Coons and Bengals are available for an additional fee to TICA approved catteries that house their cats indoors. We do not approve catteries that are pet mills. We will consider a trade with another TICA/CFA registered cattery on a case by case basis.
When a Maine Coon or Bengal kitten is sold as a pet, it may already be altered as part of the purchase price or include a neutering/spay clause in the contract.
